Amazing Sunset at the North Pole

This is a scene you will probably never get to see in person. This is the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point. A truely amazing photo.

    Whoa Matt!

This one just hit me. Such an amazing pic. Makes me wonder how many of us can actually see sunsets on the North Pole. But I must say it’s a wonderful pic.

    Keep them coming.

    Cheers!

    Matt:

I am very interested in purchasing a copy of this picture “sunset_north_pole”. I think this is an awesome picture. A friend of my emailed it to me and I just fell in love with it.

And your right no one will ever see this in person. Thats what make it so magnificant and unique.

“Probably” never get to see in person? Of course you’ll never get to see it in person - it’s a fake.

If you think about it for a few minutes it’s obviously fake. Not only could the moon never appear that large relative to the Sun, but the Sun and Moon could never appear in that exact configuration.

Is this real? I’ve heard that there are some amazing scenes at the North Pole, but I’ve never seen such a picture about it.

Fantastic though it is, it’s not real. If I remember correctly it was created on Terragen (Google it, quite a cool programme).

This image is no photo. It is a digital render which I did a few years ago. Visit my website to download the original image.

You can buy a high resolution print of it at zazzle:
