Jet Powered Beatle
What is your first impression when you first see this??
According to Ron Patrick, the owner of this Beetle:
The car has two engines: the production gasoline engine in the front driving the front wheels and the jet engine in the back. The idea is that you drive around legally on the gasoline engine and when you want to have some fun, you spin up the jet and get on the burner (you can start the jet while driving along on the gasoline engine). The car was built because I wanted the wildest street-legal ride possible.

Car In Bloom: Flowered Chevrolet Matiz
Flower car?? Anyone?
Celebrity florist Paula Pryke created a flower covered Chevrolet Matiz, at this year’s British International Motor Show.
The ‘Car In Bloom’ was created using 2,000 yellow Gerberas in response to research suggesting that women motorists often view style and colour as the key purchasing decision.

Michelin Tweel: New Michelin Tire with No Air
Michelin Tweel is a radical new tire design by Michelin, tire with no air!
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires. This is what great R&D will do and just think of the impact on existing technology:
- no more air valves
- no more air compressors at gas stations
- no more repair kits

The $1.2 Million Maserati MC12 Corsa
Priced at a whopping $1.2 million, the 2535-pound Maserati MC12 Corsa sports a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a V12 engine — producing 755hp @ 8000rpm — mated to a Cambiocora gearbox. It comes in a “Blue Victory” color and will go on sale next year, with production not exceeding 12 units worldwide. Few more pics after the jump.
The MC12 Corsa has been developed from the MC12 GT1 type which won the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup. It will be used exclusively on track during private test sessions – or exhibition activities organised by Maserati. In other words: you cannot drive it on the public roads and not even on a circuit, unless you rent it.

Maybach Exelero V12 Biturbo
The 700-hp, Maybach Exelero two-seater with a V-12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke, which is using the Maybach Exelero as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres. The German manufacturer of luxury cars built the unique model as a modern interpretation of its legendary streamlined sports car from the 1930s, thereby forging a link with the historical predecessor, which at that time was likewise based on a powerful Maybach automobile (SW 38) and used by Fulda for tyre tests.
The Exelero embodies the highest expression to date of the Maybach individualisation strategy of offering specific custom solutions on request. In initial tests on the high-speed track in Nardo (Italy), the unique vehicle reached a top speed of 351.45 km/h (FIA*-standard unit of measurement). Developers at Maybach designed the custom model with the participation of students from Pforzheim College. The Exelero was built by the prototype specialists at Stola in Turin (Italy). There are no plans to produce the model in series.
