The use of :-) and   :-( was first proposed by Scott Fahlman, a Research Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

This was back in 1982… and then online bulletin boards or “bboards” are widely used across the Computer Science community. It was like the phenomenon of blogs nowadays.

Apple’s Hidden Propaganda Against Windows

“Apple is helping Microsoft to promote its Blue Screen of Death!”

It sounds funny and well probably a little awkward isn’t it? One of my blog readers, Miguel send this tip to me few days ago.

He bumped on this out of no where… He was trying to setup his network his MacBook to connect to a Windows-PC on his Local Area Network. Here is a screenshot he took:

Apple_marketing_windows_BSOD

I discovered that the icon that my Mac OS X Leopard shows for all Windows based PCs is a computer monitor with the famous BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH… I simply laughed my arse off.

This might be an Ester Egg surprise from Apple but definitely a ‘no-good’ sign for Microsoft.

Well, I’m not sure Bill Gates knows about this.

Credit goes to Miguel!

Happy 20082008!

20082008

Today indeed special and very unique – it is 20082008!

Today mark the 20th day of August in the year 2008, and so written in numerical format will be 20.08.2008 and this assembles 20082008 (Double 2008).

I received couple of SMSes from a number of my friends wishing me 20082008. To be frank, I didn’t realize that today is 20th of August!

20082008 is very unique… you will get to have this day only once in your lifetime, so we all are very fortunate!

Oh ya, in the SMS, there is a mention that 20082008 is also a ‘I love you’ day… well seriously I have no idea what so ever.

Anyway, happy 20082008 again!

Modern Toilet Restaurant [Pictures & Videos]

Modern Toilet Restaurant Pic 1

Most of us don’t like to talk about this thing – sh*t while having our meals. But, hungry eaters at this restaurant have the other idea.

The Modern Toilet Restaurant, located in Taipei, Taiwan is a toilet themed three-storey restaurant that serves mainly feces-a-like food.

It has 100 seats, all made from toilet bowls and not chairs and you get to eat from mini plastic toilet bowl instead of the normal bowl and wipe your hand using toilet papers. Guess what, their basins are made from toilet bowls as well!

I’ve compiled some nice pictures and a few video clips from Youtube. So, enjoy!
