Warning: Facebook Fan Check Virus
Social networking hotspots like Twitter and Facebook lately have been used by hackers as a launchpad to spread malware.
Just few days ago, this particular app, Fan Check has been a hot app among my friends. Today Mashable published an article about this app warning users to beware of this app because something fishy is going on. Reports say (no proof yet) this app is actually a virus that will lead users to malware and spyware sites. To be safe, avoid adding this app at all costs.

2dooo Things: Things for Web
Remember Things? The all time popular task management for Mac by Cultured Code. They also have iPhone Things, the exact same app for the iPhone.
Those two apps are awesome. I’m a huge fan of Things but one thing I wish to have is a web version of Things as I’m a Windows user too. Today, I’m really happy to know that my wish has been materialized with 2dooo Things.

How to Block/Disable Advertisements on Webmail
I assume that most of you (if not all) are not very please with the advertisements running along with your favorite webmail, like it be Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.
Get along this post and I’ll show you how easily it is to block or disable those ads. You might have read this post – How To Remove Ads (AdSense) From Gmail posted sometime back in April, that is a little hack and just for Gmail. Now I found this super brilliant Firefox add-on, WebMail Ad Blocker that can do more than that.

You might have thought of RapidShare at first but if you upload as a non-member, your file will get deleted after 30 days of inactivity. FileFront is Going Off: for Good, for Ever!
If you are a gamer, I bet you have heard of this name — FileFront. NO?
Here is a brief one, thanks to Wikipedia:
FileFront is a computer game and video game download service that provides patches, demos, modifications and other user generated game related content. It was first launched in December 2001, and created by I/O Error Development.
The current owner of FileFront, Ziff Davis (Ziff Davis Media Game Group) who bought it back in 2005 will put FileFront off the line on March 30, 2009 — for good and for ever.

Google, Yahoo On Twitter, Too!
Even Google and Yahoo use Twitter to “sms” their users…
A quick check on Microsoft on Twitter reveals that Microsoft is there too but appeared to be a fake one (0 following, 238 followers & 0 updates). Anyway, Microsoft Live Search is there for real @Live_Search.
I noticed that @google, @yahoo and @Live_Search are following each other!

Looking for online file storage and sharing service BUT not Box.net? Between Work And The Office or in short BWATO is one of the best alternative. I have received emails from readers asking me about this (alternative), so here you go.
Between Work And The Office, what? I know, the name is pretty long and complicated (that is why acronym BWATO came about) but trust me, their service is much more simple and easy to use.
You might be wondering how BWATO differs from Box.net. Basically both of them pretty much alike – securely upload and share all types of files from documents to videos plus online, on-the-go documents editing. The one thing that Box.net doesn’t have while BWATO has is Microsoft Outlook integration.
