Watch Free Streaming TV with Hulu

I am not a person who watches a lot of TV. To be honest all I really watch is Discovery and History Channel. Occasionally I will watch South Park online, but besides that I really don’t watch anything else. Anyway, about a month ago I was on a plane going across the Atlantic, and the only show they seemed to play was The Office. After watching the humorous comedy for hours on end I started the urge to watch more. When I got home I searched for a site to watch some more episodes and stumbled upon Hulu.
Hulu is a online video bank of TV shows and movies. Their list varies from Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show to My Name is Earl. Hulu broadcast about fifty or so different series, and more is coming at a rapid pace. Some of the episodes are only in the current seasons, but some have the entire series. Shows appear on the on the episode guide about an hour after they finish air time. They use their own flash player for videos which is straight forward enough for even the average Internet user. The quality is excellent, roughly the same as a 1999 analog TV. Like the regular programing there is a 15-30 second commercial in the preset locations, but I found if using a slow enough Internet connection the screen will only go black with no long interruption. The player even has its own built in tool bar that appears on mouse over. With a 56kbs connection everything works fine with small buffering time, and even with a slightly slower connection the buffer is hardly noticeable.
Currently this is only available in the U.S, but I have heard of sites that can get around this. (Hotspot Shield for instance)
So if grandma won’t change from Wheel of Fortune this is a great site for new popular shows and movies that is worth a look.

Wired: “Zuckerberg Keynote Descends Into Chaos”
Mark Zuckerberg sat down tonight to what was expected to be a calm civilized interview by Sarah Lacy. But what he got was an intense audience that some describe as a “train wreck”.
Zuckerberg, the founder of the popular social networking site, Facebook, had all eyes on him in the soon to be awkward conversation. Lacy started off with her recognizable friendly day to day conversation with Zuckerberg, but soon found her way into a failed attempt at chipping away his wall of public defense. Still failing to stray away from the common question and answer sessions Lacy found her away into awkward situations with the audience growing tenser by the minute.
