No AdsI assume that most of you (if not all) are not very please with the advertisements running along with your favorite webmail, like it be Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.

How to Prevent Google.com from Redirecting to Local Google Homepage


Google LogoBy default Google redirects all search request and direct Google.com access to your local (country-specific) Google homepage; for my case, it is Google Malaysia (Google.com.my).

Google Web Search is customized for a number of countries and regions across the world. For example, Google.fr provides search results that are most relevant for users in France; Google.co.jp is the Google domain for Japan. We try to direct users to the site that will give them the most relevant results.

Sometimes you don’t want this. The reason is because your search will be more relevant if using Google.com rather than your local Google search.

How To Remove Ads (AdSense) From Gmail

NOTE: Removing ads from Gmail is illegal! Do it at your own risk. Below is just for education purposes.

Gmail LogoGmail without doubt is one of the best if not the best free email service ever. You get a clean interface, tons of storages, fantastic email search (powered by Google of course), Google Docs integrations, Gmail Labs and many more. It is a true gem for me and I have been using it since its initial roll out (that is about 6 years ago).

Well, the only complain is of course the ads (AdSense) that stick to the top (sometimes) and right panel of Gmail. Those ads are not obstructive as they are not embedded directly into the email content but sometimes, they look a little bit irritating to the eyes and quite annoying.

Update Your NOD32 Virus Signature Without Username & Password

NOD32 users? Read on!

NOD32_logoThe main (official) NOD32 update server sometimes is just too slow and the worst part is, it requires an username and password. So, if you accidentally misplace/miss-configure your username and password, you are potentially exposed to threats because you can’t update your virus signature database.
