10 Reasons Why Del.icio.us Drops Its Dots

Many of you had noticed that Del.icio.us has drop its trademark dots from its URL to a more common Delicious.com part of its make over.
I’ve compiled 10 reasons on why Del.icio.us becomes Delicious.com without the dots + .com. OK, roll the numbers!
- To avoid typo and misspellings.
- To avoid confusion.
- To have a commercial domain with .com instead of .us
- Easier to remember.
- Easier and faster to type.
- Easier to pronounce.
- Want to make use of delicious.com and vice versa.
- Makes people easier to find and share with their friends.
- Delicious.com is not/less confusing compared to Del.icio.us to newbies.
- Easier to market when Delicious is integrated into Yahoo Network.
Well, anyway Del.icio.us still works fine but will be redirected to Delicious.com

All of those reasons are good for any dictionary-word domain name (and that’s also why dictionary words domain names like “live” are worth much more than brand name domain names like “microsoft”).
Good points!
