Cuil Shot Down By Massive Traffic!

This is what you will see when try to access Cuil.com.
Cuil (pronounced ‘cool’, see company profile), which is scheduled to lunch today was hit by massive traffic of curious users trying to get a try on the new search engine service, dubbed as the Google Wannabie and also the Next Generation Search by many search engine watchers and Netizens.
Cuil launches with an index of 120 billion web pages making it a most comprehensive search engine on the web and also a potential Google competitor. The future of Yahoo, Live Search and AOL are in doubt.
Interesting enough, Cuil was founded by Anna Patterson an ex-Googler with her husband Tom Costello together with Russell Power, also an ex-Googler.
I was going to try out Cuil but not avail due to flooding traffics and making their servers “too hot” to handle. Cuil is down at the moment to ‘cool’ down.
BTW, you can check out TechCrunch for more info about Cuil. Michael has a pretty good review there.
