YouTube Upload Redesigned with Larger File Size and More!

YouTube Upload Enhanced!
If you are a frequent YouTube user, you might have noticed the current default Youtube video upload page has been set to the new YouTube uploader (still in beta version). You can switch back to the old uploader if you want.
This new uploader has been in private beta for sometime and now it is open to public.

YouTube Gets More Competitive
Many users lately had gone off YouTube mainly because lack of competitiveness. YouTube has been labeled by many as the “old video sharing” site that lack of several features like larger file size support.
YouTube now has the answers to stay competitive, at least parallel with other video sharing websites like Vimeo.
What’s New? What’s Cool?
[The new Youtube Uploader, beta]
The most talked about new feature would be new file size quota. The new uploader allows users to upload any video file up to 1GB, yup that is 1000MB instead of its previous 100MB limit.
On top of that, you have total control of your video’s metadata (title, description, tags, etc) while upload in process.
Besides that, users can now upload multiple files at once, without any additional plugin. The old muiti-video upload requires you to download and install Gears.
Overall, I can say that these features are not noble and already been offered by other services. However, it’s a timely move to get back its support and stays as the de facto video sharing site.
