Firefox 3.5 Clear Private Data “Workaround”

Firefox_35_logo

If you are a Firefox 3.0.x (or older) users and have upgraded to the latest Firefox 3.5.x, do you notice that there is no “Clear Private Data…” under Tools menu? I’ve just realized that myself today! It has been changed to “Clear Recent History…”.

The two options are exactly the same actually — clearing your history, including other private data. It might looks confusing at first, and most of us would think that it will just clear your browsing history (I had that in mind too). This will definitely cause uneasiness among Firefox fans.

So… the so called “workaround” is to click the “Details” button to expand the options. Now you will get the good old “Clear Private Data…” options.

Sounds silly easy isn’t it? It is time to get used to it!
