You have Microsoft Sidebar Gadgets for Windows, and now you can have Google Gadgets for Linux too!

Google has just announced the availability of their Gadgets for Linux platform with 64–bit support…and best of all, it’s open source!

It looks pretty much like those in Vista, but hey this is Linux!

So feel free to check out the source code of the Google Gadgets at their project site.
