What you need:

  • Vista Boot Logo Generator
  • 24–bit BMP graphic/picture in 800×600 or 1024×768 pixels

What you need to do is just load your bmp image and click on File > Save Boot Screen File As. That’s all, and your boot screen will be generated.

You need to copy the boot screen file to %windir%\System32\en-US and restart your PC.

Note: You need to ensure the /NOGUIBOOT option is enabled in the MSCONFIG tool, otherwise you’ll only get the old 16–bit boot screen.

Make sure you read the readme file for more installation information.
