I had few requests on my current (previous rather-I’ve changed to a new theme) Wordpress theme. So, I decided to release it and here it is. Any comments or suggestions? Feel free to post it!

2. A feature added: Translation (Translate content in English to others)
What’s new in v1.1:
1. Major color change (Now, color theme based on Engadget.com)
Received a lots of comments about v1.0b colors (bad colors), so changed new “skin”!

Download TriColumn v1.2 (Latest), unzip it and upload it to your
Note:
This theme is ONLY tested on WordPress v1.5.2. and should works well with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera.
To change the header picture, the size MUST be 475×125 in .gif format and don’t rename it, or else you have to edit the style.css file. (You can edit the included headerimg.png using Macromedia Fireworks and save as gif)
*Updated: Now with v1.1, you no longer required to change the header picture (You can use the default header image/picture, just like the Kubrick theme)
To edit the navigation menu links, open header.php with any HTML editor, Notepad also can.
Edit the < !– NAVIGATIONAL MENU –> part.
To edit the navigation menu styles, look in style.css.
Feel free to change the colors/modify the style.css, but please don’t left out my credits!!!

Is there something wrong with your theme? I have downloaded and uploaded it a half dozen times to my server and each time the theme never loads successfully. It keeps telling me the css is missing or unreadable. Can you help, because this looks like a very good theme that I’d love to use. Thanks, man.

Do you do this?
Comment by sam »
Hmm well if you’re talking about the theme folder it’s already called “TriColumn” so there’s no need to rename it. But here’s the thing, this time after I downloaded (and renamed it anyway), I uploaded it, activated the theme, and the only thing that shows up is Chitika. Is this theme not compatiable with 2.0.3?
Comment by sam »
To clarify, the only thing that shows up on my site is the Chitika leaderboard at the top. Everything else is a white blank…

Hey Matt I forgot to say, this is a really great theme and I really want to use it. Please help.

@ sam
After going through those files, I found that some files are not “clean” (Due to a mix up of themes, original/edited one)
So, to get the original, I highly recommended you to download from http://themes.wordpress.net/download.php?theme=68
Note: Download link update.

Hey, Matt, the original loaded fine, but I really want 1.2.
It looks really cool, and I’ve been looking for something like it all over the place and yours is the first one that I’ve found to be exactly like I want it. Do you have plans to fix 1.2? I can wait as long as I need to to get it. It’s that cool of a theme!

Hi sam, I thing that’s v1.2, just I didn’t change the version in the style.css file.

Is v1.2 what you are using here on this blog right now? The one I downloaded from your link had two columns, one on each side of the entry/content. I thought 1.2 was the one you’re using here, which is what I really want. Can you clarify?

OIC,
You mean the theme I’m using right now for blogiseverything.com? OK, Tricolumn and this theme (will not be released publically) is not the same. Totally different! SORRY!! This is my official blog network theme.
BTW, I will release another theme (3 columns) in the future…quite busy right now with my university stuffs.

After long searching for a decent template, i finally found THE ONE I was looking for, yours!
Now i have a mayor roadblock becouse i dont know how to code. Sort of. I’m trying to put google ads just like DAVAO today has on its website, but i cant seem to know how to do it, can you help me?
Thanks
Comment by Fabian »
Another thing, I tried putting the ads, but they dont display on the home, but if you click on any of the tutorials, for example http://hdr101.com/hdr-tutorial they do display, can you give me a hand on this?
Comment by Matt »
@ Fabian
To have the ads appear in every single page, put your ads (ad code) either on header.php(horizontal ads)/sidebar.php (vertical ads).

Hi Matt!
I´ve done that, but for some reason on the home page, they don´t display but if you click in one of the tutorials they do appear. I don´t know why. Please check it out.
Thank you so much!

OK, I think the problem is your homepage didn’t have enough/suitable keywords for adsense ads to be displayed.

I’m having an issue with using the permalink to my archives in the tabbed section in the header. I have tried everything-including deleting my original archives page, but when clicked, the page will show up as an index of the archives page, no archives or page showing at all. I have removed it and I’m using the archives in the sidebar, but I’d rather use the permalink in the header. I have read through the code and I cannot figure out why just the archives page isn’t working. And yes- I chose the archives template when the page was set up.

Try to use wordpress archive plugins instead of the archive template.
